COVID-19 Remembrance Concert

Sunday, June 27th

A special offering of music, for voice, piano and string, spoken word, and prayers for those who have lost their lives to the pandemic.

Featuring music by Elgar, Coplan, Schöenberg, and others.

An Afternoon of Broadway

Sunday, July 11th

Lead by Summer Camp Co-Director, Olivia Broderick, this concert will feature solos and duets from some of the best loved Broadway musicals of the past and present.

With songs from Into the Woods, Guys and Dolls, Jekyll and Hyde, Les Miserable, West Side Story and many more! Family friendly so bring the kids!

The Micah Graves Project

Sunday, July 25th

Philadelphia-based jazz band featuring rising young jazz pianist, Micah Graves, vocalists Danielle Dougherty (who also is in legendary trumpeter Terell Stafford’s big band) and Shafiq Hicks (who was
performing the role of Tom Collins in the 25th Anniversary National Tour of “Rent” before it was shut down by the pandemic), bassist John Moran, drummer Julian Miltenberger.

The String Faculty of the Music School of Delaware

Sunday, August 8th

Summer Camp Co-Director and MELODY Coordinator, Caroline Stephenson this concert will feature a variety of music written for string quartet as well as transcriptions of favorite pieces of classical and modern repertoire.

Wilmington Concert Opera presents “At Sea”

Sunday, August 22nd

Coming off of their recent SOLD OUT “Pirates and Mermaids” Concert event at the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation, our friends from WCO will delight us with an afternoon of Opera, Art Song, and Broadway all centered around the theme of the ocean, water, and what we find there.

Marisa Robinson, who was the soprano soloist for our Pergolesi Stabat Mater Concert on Palm Sunday this year, leads the cast of singers for the event.

Selection from Rossini, Offenbach, Schubert and others make this the perfect
afternoon for the opera lover!

Just Flutin'

Sunday, September 12th

Just Flutin' is a flute quartet which originated at UD’s OSHER Lifelong Learning. Center.

The group features piccolo, C flute, alto and Bass flute performing a variety of music ranging from Haydn to the Beatles.

Just Flutin' has been in demand for church services, special events, libraries, OSHER lobby concerts, and a variety of outside venues.

The University of Delaware Graduate Brass Quintet

Sunday, September 26th

Back with us again for this series, we are delighted to close out the season with this extremely talented group of musicians who will perform a variety of music for brass quintet.

The group is embarking on a
Regional tour this fall and we are excited to have them stop at PCOC and share their talents with us.
